I believe that as your therapist I am here to help you to figure out where your pain lies, where you tend to stumble and to work collaboratively with you to do something different . . . perhaps for the first time in your life. I am here to help you see past your blind spots and show you the qualities and strengths which you have yet to own, or perhaps lost somewhere along the way then assist you in processing and metabolizing your pain and to move into a space of insight, wellbeing and empowerment.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology specializing in trauma, LGBT affirmative therapy and mood disorders. While educated in psychodynamic talk therapy, my training emphasis has been on trauma recovery, relationships, LGBT issues, couples and Cognitive/Behavioral techniques. I have been trained in EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy) in addition to EMDR and Somatic Experiencing which are both excellent treatments for either shock trauma or developmental trauma of any kind.
Whether you’re looking to make a major change in your life or simply fine tune your spiritual and existential path . . . nothing is too small or too big for us to work on. Together we will create a non-judgmental, affirmative holding environment or therapeutic “bubble” in order for your authentic growth and healing to occur.
